I’ve got another Spring nail polish collection to share with you today. OPI’s annual Soft Shades Collection introduces eight new limited edition nail lacquers inspired by Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted movie, which opened in theatres on March 21, 2014. The family comedy includes an all-star cast including Kermit the Frog, Constantine, Ricky Gervais, Miss Piggy, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and the whole Muppet gang.
“The Muppets are a fun-loving, colorful cast of characters. These new nail lacquers were inspired by their latest adventures in Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted, which include a glamorous international stage tour – and lots of surprises,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder & Executive VP.

This collection has a bit of everything in it, including sheer creams, glitters and even a few metallic shades. The two shades that appeal to me most are the nude and pale pink cream (see below). The sapphire blue, pearly white and especially the rosy mauve have nice dimension to them, despite the fact that I personally do not like pearlescent, duochrome or frosty hues. The sparkle-packed lacquers, especially Gaining Mole-mentum are sure to be instant hits for any of you that enjoy a good glitter!

Chillin’ Like A Villain
I really love this shade. It’s a gorgeous nude with peach and beige undertones. The formula is good, however I will say it is on the sheer-er side. I used two coats for the swatches, but I recommend adding another coat for complete opacity. A great nude!
I Love Applause
Another lovely shade that is sheer until you build it up to a beautiful soft pink. This polish has a good formula and a very nice consistency. I used two coats for the swatches, but once again I’d recommend adding another coat for complete opacity.
